An "EU region" is not sovereignty.
Hosting data in Frankfurt changes nothing if the control plane, the place your network is steered from, remains subject to American law. Sovereignty starts with control, not with the geography of the datacenter.
What the law says
The CLOUD Act lets American authorities demand data held by American companies, wherever it is stored. An "EU region" at an American vendor is still an American company.
NIS2 and the GDPR, for their part, put the responsibility on you: it is your organisation that answers for its infrastructure, its access and its data flows, not your vendor.
What Elyza does
Elyza is a European company. The control plane is operated in Europe, under European law. Data resides in France and the EU. Mesh connections are end-to-end encrypted: even we cannot see your traffic.
